The SHE Academy envisions a world where we all enjoy Safety, Health, and Economic independence; where caretaking and being of service to others is highly valued; where our SHE Leaders address the perils facing our planet, our families, our institutions and our democracy.
The SHE Academy’s mission is to educate women and girls to be Safer, Healthier, Economically independent and to be advocates and leaders. We teach women and girls how to live safer lives, because violence is the number one public health issue facing us globally. This reality directly impacts our health and economic status. To counter this, we provide physical, psychological and relationship tools so we can live healthier lives. We offer economic literacy, career training, and resources to help us on our path toward economic independence. The SHE Academy is committed to combating stereotypic female gender socialization to ensure that women and girls can become effective agents for change. We promote intergenerational cooperation and respect.
It's time to build a new incubator for leadership. Our SHE Councils create the opportunity for women and girls to be advocates and leaders in their communities. SHE Leaders work to enact sustainable, accountable, equitable solutions, for every institution in our society, through partnerships with government, businesses, communities and nations.
Our mission's success depends upon the SHE Equation (Minds + Media + Means = Change), so we established the SHE Academy, SHE Media, SHE Makes, SHE Gathers and SHE Councils. The SHE Academy is committed to teaching women and girls to empower themselves and each other. Our SHE Academy offers a new model of early education based on the SHE philosophy. SHE Media produces media and teaches media literacy and skills. SHE Makes promotes goods and services by and for women. SHE Gathers is our community where we come together virtually and locally to study, share ideas, and support each other in all our endeavors. Our SHE Councils are where we convene with SHE alumni to change our world through advocacy and compassionate leadership. |
